Beer Stocks Doing Just Fine (BUD, TAP, SAM)

The big brewing companies have been holding steady this last month and we really like Molson Coors Brewing (TAP).

Mastery is always on the hunt for a security that doesn't dive 5 to 10% every other day thanks to the current volatility. Turns out beer could be the solution for all our problems.

In the past 30 days Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) up 9%, Molson Coors Brewing Co. (TAP) is up 4.6% and The Boston Beer Co. (SAM) is increased 2.9%. However over the past six months while stocks have ran all over creation Boston Beer (SAM) shares have jumped 22%.

BUD and SAM are trading close to their respective 52-week highs and that's something to drink about. Many investors enjoy chasing after strong performers and that rings true for BUD and SAM. The diamond in the rough just may be Molson Coors Brewing Co. (TAP).

The Boston Beer Co. (SAM) however wins best investment for 2011 of the three, its shares are up 19% YTD while the S&P 500 has inched up 3%. Best yet for beer lovers the Boston Beer Co. is still an American company and sells over 20 beers under the Samuel Adams or the Sam Adams brand name.

Boston Beer Co (SAM) shares are now trading with a P/E Ratio of 23.3 and EPS of 4.36. SAM shares are trading at $101.

Anheuser Busch Inbev (BUD) shares are trading just under $60. BUD is now trading with a P/E Ratio of 19.7 and EPS of 3.02.
